The State Competitions are over and HTC had several winners in different categories in March 2007. The winning ceremonies were be held in Bloomington, MN.

Deadline to enter one or several of the competitions was Friday February 9th.

In November, SkillsUSA MN held their annual Delegate Assembly in Duluth, with over 150 members and advisors in attendance. Members new and seasoned attended this event to elect their State Officers.
Those elected at the state level will now take on the responsibility of representing SkillsUSA MN through touring other schools. This gives very important opportunities for networking, team building, general awareness of ones abilities, and a chance to stand out and stand up for something great! These newly elected officers will learn the ins and outs of SkillsUSA and begin preparing for there year in office at the State College SkillsUSA level. For those who attended for the first time or were there to support the students running for officer positions at the Delegate Assembly, they all learned about this great people building organization and were a part of campaigning and voting. In all, there were 7 elected officers at both the college and high school level . All who attended had the chance to enjoy small group tours of beautiful Duluth. We had the opportunity to visit the Glensheen Mansion, Lake Superior Zoo, Great Lakes Aquarium, and Lake Superior Railroad Museum. Everyone had a great time with many great sites to see! As a large group, we all attended a showing at the Duluth OMNIMAX Theatre, called Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon.
